What We Do?

• We carry out annual financial audit with Island Councils.

How We Do it?

• Checking that actual amount of revenues and expenditures are collected and spent correctly and accordingly.
• Check that revenues and expenditures are collected and spent according to the approved estimates.
• Check that Island Councils comply with the required laws and regulations throughout the financial year and during the preparation of their financial reports.

Why We Do it?

• To ensure that public funds are used efficiently and effectively.
• To promote accountability and transparency
• It is our responsibility as stated under Kiribati Constitution Sec. 114 and Kiribati Audit Act 2017 Sec. 22.
